Kate Anderson, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust
Kate is Lewisham and Greenwich’s Director of Corporate Affairs where she ensures effective corporate governance and is also responsible for the Trust’s communication and emergency planning teams.
Kate joined the Trust’s finance team in June 2015. Prior to this she spent 14 years working as a qualified accountant in KPMG’s Public Sector Audit team working with NHS organisations in both audit and advisory capacity.
Kate is skilled in financial and governance matters and is pleased to bringing this expertise to the Pathology Partnership’s Strategic Management Board.
Tom Butler, Clinical Director
Tom was appointed as the Pathology Partnership’s Clinical Director at its formation in 2021. Before that, he was the Group Clinical Director for Pathology at Barts Health. He trained in Cambridge, Birmingham and London and joined Barts Health as a consultant haematologist in 2013.
Tom’s clinical laboratory work involves diagnosing blood cancers within a large regional specialist laboratory. He also serves patients in outpatient clinics and provides general haematology advice to hospital teams and local GPs.
Tom also has a national role as chair of the British Society for Haematology’s Laboratory Haematology committee.
Alistair Chesser, Barts Health NHS Trust
Alistair has been Chief Medical Officer at Barts Health NHS Trust since 2016. He trained in Cambridge, London and Aberdeen prior to being appointed Consultant Nephrologist at Barts Health in 2003.
Louise Crosby, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust
Louise was appointed Lewisham and Greenwich’s Chief Nurse in March 2022.
After qualifying in 1986, Louise worked as a nurse at Whittington Health NHS Trust, Barts Health NHS Trust and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in cardiology. She has held a number of senior positions and was Director of Nursing at Newham University Hospital for Barts Health NHS Trust before joining Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. Prior to this, she was Director of Nursing at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, which achieved a rating of “Outstanding” from the Care Quality Commission.
Dylan Jones, Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Dylan is Deputy Chief Executive at Homerton Healthcare.
He was previously appointed as Homerton’s Chief Operating Officer in January 2013 and was acting Chief Executive from April to October 2022. Previous roles at Homerton include Divisional Director of the Integrated Medical and Rehabilitation Services Division (2011 to January 2013) and General Manager for the General and Emergency Medicine Division (2008-2011.).
Before that Dylan worked at Barts Health, and NHS Trusts in South Wales.
Andrew Knott, Chief Executive — East and South East London Pathology Partnership
Andrew is the Chief Executive of the Pathology Partnership and has been leading pathology transformations and consolidations since 2011. He has worked at Colchester, Addenbrookes and Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trusts before joining the Pathology Partnership in 2020. Prior to joining the NHS, Andrew had a career in professional services, including working on public sector transformations and large-scale IT programmes.
David Monk, Independent Chair
David was appointed to the role of Independent Chair of the Pathology Partnership in September 2021. Before that he was a Non-Executive Director at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. He also remains a Non-Executive Director of the Tower Hamlets GP Care Group.
David’s career now spans over 35 years in public health and care strategy development. He has a long history of Partnership working, most recently working with the South London Mental Health and Community Partnership. David is accountable to the three Owner Trusts and Chairs the Senior Management Board on their behalf.
Nicky Mowatt, Finance Director
Nicky is the Pathology Partnership’s Finance Director and joined the Partnership in October 2020. Previously, Nicky worked as Director of Operational Finance at North Bristol NHS Trust.
Nicky has significant senior level experience gained in various finance roles across the NHS including Health Authority, Trust, Commissioner and Regional/National organisations. This includes 21 years at Deputy or Director of Finance level.
Within the Partnership, Nicky is responsible for finance, business intelligence, contracting, business support and procurement.
Charlotte Mustoe, Operations Director
Charlotte was appointed as Operations Director of the Pathology Partnership in August 2021. Previously, Charlotte was Operations Director of a private Diagnostics service in Guildford. She has had a 32 year career in the NHS including Transformation Lead and Pathology General Manager at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and was also the Deputy Pathology Incident Director for one of the Midlands pathology networks, building up and maintaining Covid testing capacity across Bedfordshire and areas of Cambridge and Hertfordshire.
Prior to that Charlotte worked in pathology networks in North West London and South West London, leading on Blood Sciences and target operating models for the creation of the pathology networks.
In addition to laboratory Operations teams, Charlotte is also responsible for Pathology IT.
Robin Sanham, Quality and Improvement Director
Robin was appointed as the Pathology Partnership’s Quality and Improvement Director in May 2021. Previously, Robin was Head of Pathology at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and South London Healthcare Trust where he had overseen hub and spoke transformation projects.
Robin was trained as a Biomedical Scientist and specialised in Haematology, also gaining a Master’s degree in Immunology. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and has Chartered Scientist status.
In his current role Robin Heads up the Quality and Governance Team who ensure robust Quality Assurance, Clinical Governance, Improvement and Personal Development across the Pathology Partnership.
Daniel Waldron, Barts Health NHS Trust
Daniel started his career in the housing and charity sectors where he held a number of senior operational roles before joining the NHS in 2008. In 2013, Daniel became the director of workforce and organisational development at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and in 2019 moved to Guy’s and St Thomas' Foundation Trust to become Director of Workforce and Organisational Development.
Daniel is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD) as well as a qualified executive coach.
